Visual Playground: The Second Half (Illustrations)



1. The Exotic Gaze- Technicolor Showcase of Orientalism and Asian Stereotypes within Early Cinema
The Exotic Gaze is a film festival exploring the duality of early Technicolor cinema. Despite the technological achievement, this portion of cinema history has a troubling legacy of Orientalism and racial stereotyping of Asian American actors/actresses. (Fall 2024)




2. Haiku House Book
Seasons of Change is a research project exploring the correlation of haikus and seasonal affective disorder (SAD), focusing on the Poet House Library, using poetry as a vessel to allow the reader to reflect on their own troubles or joys and how the seasons affect their ups and downs.





3. Lieu De Memoire
Lieu De Memoire covers multiple layers within the Jefferson Market Library. The history of violence and isolation within the walls known for knowledge. (Spring 2025)





4. Hirono 
A design for Hirono, the popular blindbox series from Popmart. Bringing a 3d render taken from a phone and a toilet paper roll integrated into a website. (Spring 2024)

5. Haiku House 
“Haiku House is the haiku sister branch of the Poet House. The mobile app invites users into a minimalist space to experience the world in the rhythm of 5-7-5. The app is meant to slow things down and create moments of quiet reflection through poetry, like a digital extension of the Poet House.” (Spring 2025)





6.  The Exotic Gaze Motion Graphic
Taking the last set of the triptych and giving it new life through motion, while enticing the viewer to come see the festival.





7. Void
Publication about the crippling effects of Isolation from many angles and perspectives of being alone.

8. Toys R Us Rebrand
The Iconic Toys R Us needed a rebrand that still maintains that child-like wonder within the stars.

This is my illustration/ visual playground. I have accumulated my interests in watercolors and design into multiple bodies of artwork.

A creative hub for young artists in the Bronx. Providing supplies and community support.
